I'm sitting here teary-eyed. I nominated this piece. This is so painful, and such a beautiful word in this sickening time. Much love for writing this.

"So much death, do our prayers fall on deaf ears,
All we have our each other, so keep you loved ones near,
For those who have faith, keep praying until you feel numb,
For we will unite as one, until kingdom come. "

This stanza, made me seriously stronger. I can stomach the idea of this happening, and maybe even watch the news on it. I always seem to turn a blind eye to events this tragic, because I can't handle it. I pray for them, wish them well, but I can't stand the coverage on it. It just shreds me apart. An 8 year old boy lost his life, while his siblings and mother is in the hospital fighting for life because some idiot decided to throw war into a joyous event. Hundreds of people injured. My skin just crawls. This poem -- such a light in such evil, dark times.

You are truly inspirational. Keeping faith is such an important aspect. We can't blame God for tragedy. Blame the devil for it. We turn to God for comfort, and hope, and healing.

    This is truly beautiful.

Your words move me to tears Linda. I'm almost speechless. I am so happy that I could help you through this troubling time. It felt like a piece of my heart was gone when all this happened. Thank you thank you for your wonderful words, not only for the poem, but for how it affects you. Let the healing begin :)

Very good piece with nice rhyming parts.

People are only truly gone when they are forgotten.

Thomas you have hit it right on the head. They will never be forgotten. We will unite as one and get through it. The rhyming just came as I was speaking it out. It just felt right. Thank you for you kind words :)
