The Lord Of The Rings: The Fellowship Of The Ring. Book One: Chapter Eleven : A Knife In The Dark.

While resting at the Weathertop the group is attacked by the Nazgul, mortal men once, who have now succumbed to the power of their rings and are slaves to it. Immortal as wraiths, but bound to serve the one dominant ring forged to reign above all others.. Frodo is stabbed by the Morgul blade. Argon arrives just in time and scares off the Nazgul. Frodo is given temporary relief by Arwen. But healed only when treated by Elrond at Rivendell.
