This was so deeply touching Maple. It speaks of longing, regrets, wishes, loss.

the opening line was so clear to image you being trapped inside this jar, to see the outside world and yet not be a part of it, or not to have what everyone else around you seems to have. I can imagine the lack of air making it hard to breath and I connect this with stress and how it feels like we can't breathe sometimes.

I cry for angels that never
    fly, stirring within echoes
    of what once was and
    will never be again.

    - the pain is deeper here, the loss of not only what used to be but having to accept that it won't be again. This reminds me of so many things we could compare it to, things we have lost, people, choices, mistakes.

    I spy in cracked ceilings
    as a broken piano key
    plays d minor with every
    tear drop that falls from
    my sorrowful soul....

    - I found the use of D minor so powerful here because for anyone who knows music will know this is the saddest chord to play and just weeps of pain really. I could image each tear falling as each note is played.

Very very touching Maple and I think you used your prompts really well and created a little heartfelt poem of the truth of life and the dark places we all come across.
