A great poem! I know this feeling, I've felt it before! (Only with genders swapped due to the fact that I'm a guy). It was a long time ago maybe two or so years ago when I had a year like this. She broke up with her boyfriend and I planned to ask her, but before I knew it, she was no longer single, so I remained that way.
