Comments : Unwritten Death

This poem is really deep, and I find myself drawn into it because I can relate to the pain and the emotions within it.

I got an imagery of self harm in this poem, which I do not know if I picked it up correctly or not, but that is what I got from it. From the opening, the red line and drops of blood. I think straight away this shows the pain inside, and the need for it to be released.

I think the powerful part is this:

    I do not fear death
But I do not wish to embrace it either.

    - I think this highlights the true depression and helplessness where we become trapped, we do not want to die, we just know life is a bit unbearable. This is the hardest place to be and I feel you have done a great job portraying your emotions of this here, and how you cope.

    Powerful wording.

The imagery and sense of doom in this are outstanding, Cassie; all delivered with your usual accomplished flow and wording.
