Ecce Femina

by Eugenius   Aug 10, 2014

The Adam's rib, the Eve's daughter; of clay thou art born! Eternal friend of the man; the mother of Mankind, thou hast always been a fleur, gorgeous and fragrant. Behold the Femme! She is the star, whose light surpasses the vanity of our life. She is the salt of the earth, as Savior himself had said.
This day is yours, and we desire, that thou be wise and loving in matrimony and in motherhood. We, men, solemnly undertake to be with you in the days of the sunshine or in the days of rains and of the fall of leaves; for thus it should be according to the will of the Almighty!
