i have six or seven myself and it made me smile a little reading this.

Just some constructive critique....

The needle pieces * i think this should be pierces*

Overall minus these little typos, I like this piece :) a good thing to do once you've finished a write is to read it aloud, that way you can spot typos and get the rhythm of your piece down and punctuate where you want your reader to take a breath and absorb what you have just said.
