I'm sorry if this is a tad bad. I haven't wrote a poem in about 5 years |

Joey, I am glad you decided to join the site and you got back into writing. They poem is simple but there is always beauty within simplicity. As the title states, twinkling angel eyes, could be about any shining object. But here you stare into the sky and you look up to see the stars. This imagery is capturing because you just know that it is night time. You are thinking about the past and how your loved ones are always with you. And they will last, always be there in your heart. Being happy can be sappy yes, but in the end it doesn't matter because happiness is rare these days. Death happens to all of us and if you believe, you will see them again. Beautiful write. 5/5 |

I think this is something that everyone can relate to. We all have loved ones who have passed on and that we miss terribly. Sometimes it gives us a sense of peace by looking up into the sky, seeing the twinkling stars and knowing that they are looking down upon us. It also gives us a sense of hope... as we hope that when it is our time to leave this Earth, that we will be able to reunite with them once again. Just the knowing of seeing them again someday allows you to continue on through life, allows you to live without them because you know it is only temporary. |
