It seems like everyone has that one time of year where it is difficult to stay happy. This is a great start that leaves the readers mind wondering who you are speaking of here, it makes me want to read more about who this person you are referring too here. I always like vagueness in poetry because it keeps your mind guessing.

You feel guilty about something that it seems like you cannot control and maybe it is part of a grieving process. Often people take a lot of time to grieve over the loss of a loved one. It is more difficult to cope when you knew this person for most of your life. Words cannot describe what the heart wants to scream out.

Oh, this ending hits your heart hard. This person who you care for deeply is not there to see you live your life but there is mixed feelings here as well. You miss this person deeply but in some ways you are glad that they are not there because it feels like you have failed. But why? I suspect that it might have something to do with guilt and how you feel. 5/5
