I like this poem. I especially like the bear simille. To me it made me smile thinking of a loving lump who has a prickly sensitive side. I realse the message is a sad one: past pain causing fear of a repeat so a necessary defence is erected.

Melissa I like your writing alot. It has depth of experience which lends to moody musing.
