    Dagmar,

If you get to a point where those demons no longer hold sway over your life, you have beaten them. It sounds like you are well on your way to doing this - perhaps you already have.

Take care and all the very best,
    Ben

Dagmar, another great piece from you.

I will not die of suffocation
with guilt pressing against my cheast,
the devil is determined to win over my soul.
    ^^
A great opening. No, you won't die of suffocation from this horrible disease depression that I think you are talking about because I know you are a strong person just by what you write and seen that even through the tough tines you have come out shining. I know the feeling of 'the devil wanting our souls' though because my thoughts can get wild sometimes and it's hard to stop them but they eventually go away. The word 'cheast' is without the 'a'

    These demons
    dressed up as familiar faces,
    throwing stones from every corner.
    ^^
I love here the fact that the demons are dressing up in familiar faces because very often familiar faces are the ones that hurt us most and the stones I feel are probably more problems for you to deal with on top of everything else.

I am rising above this madness
    away from all the noise,
    my soul is at peace.
    ^^
Great ending. See I said you were strong and I'm not wrong. You are rising above it, coming over yet another hurdle placed in front of you and because d it you are at peace, it shows you have a strong willed mind too.

    Great write, Em

Dagmar - this is beautiful - we all have demons and deep inside us we have the strength and weapons to combat them, if only we would recognise them! - it sounds to me you are winning the battle, so welcome to our legion!
