    Jack,

This is excellent and is certainly no 'failure'.
I have to admit to usually spending the whole time when writing a poem wondering if it will be any good at the end. I always start a new write knowing exactly what I want to say but worried that I won't be able to convey it poetically.
I think that the more we think on these things, the more likely the poem will suffer. The trick is to just write and let the rest take care of itself.

    Well done.

Yep this describes me I have a good idea to but when I try to put it on paper I I won't write anything until I have it perfect in my mind but that's not how it works you have to write the rough form first and then perfect it afterwards, after all you have to start somewhere right?
