I read this when you posted it and meant to come back and comment, but my daughter was born premature at 4 pounds... so I had a lot going on.

That being said... this is amazing. It is dark, and beautiful, excellently rhymed, and has hauntingly vivid imagery. I hope you don't mind, but it inspired me to write a response piece. I hope you get a chance to read it.
