I wonder if Mr Trump will take the time to read some Scottish history when he visits Scotland in the next few days. So many will visit places like Glencoe for its beauty and mountains but few will take time out to look back and find out what happened there....I'm glad you acknowledged it with this verse.
I can't even imagine being in a place like Glencoe and not at least meditating momentarily on what occurred there... then appreciate all the more the blessing of enjoying the present beauty of the place within that context.
There was a lot of poems nominated last week, 37 to be precise. After reading all of them, this was the one I came back to and awarded 10 points. I just love how it sings. There is a real professional rhythmic feel to this poem. I love the story telling as well. It shouts pride and is a great advert for Scotland. Just brilliant. (10 points)
