Woh....this poem says a lot in so little words!

    Love how you've done that.

I always feel when people try to reach for stars, there is always some object that gets in the way and if people fail they always get down on themselves and either never try again or take a long time to try again and regroup. The reason I like this short poem as a whole is the truth that many people can connect to with it. I think many or perhaps all of us have tried to reach for something that is out of our grasp. which is where the title comes in as I have said before. "reaching for stars" is reaching for something out of our grasp, and just hoping it works out in our favor. I kind of like the idea of this being kind of a wishing upon a shooting star kind of thing.

Now as I said the poem is great because it rings of so much truth. People try to reach for perfection, but in the end fail because there is no such thing. I think as we grow older we realize that being ourselves is the perfect thing we can be. I like the slippery pole line because it is difficult to climb up and reach the top, but I think people listen too much to other people and that is why we get down on ourselves, instead of just doing what we wish to and being happy.

There is nothing I would personally change within the poem itself, as I always say I love no punctuation in poetry because it helps the poem to flow better and even though this poem is only two lines, those two ines work well together and tell a story within them. so well done!
