The Perfect Night

by Allison   Sep 1, 2004

The candle on my night-stand
is flickering away.
Your breathing is so heavy.
The sky outside is gray.

Your head is resting on my chest.
I'm holding you so tight.
I know that I should go to sleep.
But, I refuse to waste this night.

The air is still and heavy.
Your body melts to mine.
I never want this taste to end.
This taste of the divine.
