Afterwards

by Stephen Levant   Oct 13, 2004

Don't let go of me just yet. Hold me as I lay here basking in the radiance and afterglow. Drifting on waves of passion, becoming one with them, I find myself part of your essence. There is so much of you to know, and your every aspect eagerly awaits that exploration.

I am you and I as we are one yet separate. Intertwined energies met and created something beyond themselves. It flourished blooming and consuming. Petals of a flower peeled back, gently, revealing the within. The taste of you is over me and upon me. Kindred souls are kin. They have found themselves and their unity from time out of mind.

I would that it begin again, yea it will, but for this moment the afterward overwhelms.
