    Absolutely beautiful.
Your writing wraps and unwraps as we become, your readers, one of your lyrics ascending aware of this miracle.
I thought to offer a poetic critique, which is generally not done.
Though it's your job I realize, as the author, to make me think this time ;) So I hope I didn't take it too far.

I'm always so grateful when you guys comment.

I also really love the different interpretations people have on poetry, and definitely the interpretations on my poetry. It seems so bizarre to hear what a piece I wrote makes you think of. Er- in a good way.

Anywhoo, I thought I'd add in my thoughts while I wrote this poem. Mostly, it's about my closest friend's and my friendship over this summer, which sort of deteriorated under depression, so we sort of stopped feeling and erm.... became numb. I suppose it incorporates the feeling of summer with that issue.

By the way, it's the same friend I wrote about in "quiet sunday".

This comment seems to be going on for quite a while. So.... anyone up for my life story? ;)

    Thanks for reading as always.

I really liked this. The main idea was lovely and intriguing, and I love the comparison to the Jacarandas. The symbols and metaphors you used tied into the picture of a flower really created a dramatic impact on the reader, and I especially admired the lines,
    "we are sombre summer creatures,
    barely alive in the winter
but listless and dreamless by this heat
sinking further inside a sense of self."
i just thought the words and text were absolutly lovely. Excellent job
