Beautiful way to describe your failed efforts to please a loved one's desires only to have them shot back at you and left worthless. I loved these lines,
"I tried to say the words you wanted to hear-
But hard silence bit my tongue;"
i thought those tied in perfectly with the piece and brought out the emotion you were trying to display. Well done
