Actually, my poems are more of a basis of different feelings that we get from time to time, this particular one isn't about lost hope at all, but when you are struggling with your emotions and you want to have someone help you and yet at the same time resent their help because you don't want to push them away. But Thank you kindly for your comments, and I do love your poetry as well it is uplifting.

I think you should have an "on" after the holding for it to make more sense.

I thought that despite the antiquitated syntax (or perhaps because of it), your poem still came across loud and clear. This was very good work.

It crossed my mind to add on, but the problem with that is it messed with the rythym that I was going for at the time of writing.

What can i say? I loved this poem. The flow was good and so was the rhyming. I can't think of anything else, except to give it 5/5 and nothing less. Keep on writing this kind of good poems.

Beautiful poem... I have not much else to say. It's just extremely well written. You have some powerful metaphors throughout the poem, and a lovely flow. I find it rare that a poem can flow so gracefully when it has a distinct rhyme.
