At the begining, I couldn't work out if it was a family member, or possessive boyfriend, but as I read on I could see it was someone who loved you unconditionally and wanted to protect you. And you weren't rebelling and dissappearing, just merely making her understand that there are things you MUST do, and slipping away slowly, but that you would be back all the time.
