Goodbye Terri Schiavo

by Jeff   Mar 31, 2005

Terri,your name was sweet
Many wanted you to live
Some wanted you to die
Your wishes will never be clear
You have suffered enough
Parents have suffered too
Your husband must have felt the pain too
He loved you and married you sometimes back
Now that you are gone, gone forever
Many questions than answers remains
For sure God wanted you to live
You never died untill when they gave you no more food or liquid
Did you die naturally or you were murdered?
Only heavens bears the jurisdiction now
Politicians took their course
A lot was said, you heard all of them
You just couldn't answer back
You could not talk, you just listened
Only angels could speak to you
The ones who could talk talked
You listened just like an angel
We all wish you had one minute of life again
Your death will lead to many painful tears
You have taught all of us lessons
Lessons to live with daily
Is living will more important now?
Everyone must decide on their own
You are the hero to many of us
The future generations will all honor you
I am sorry that you will not be there anymore
The unhelpful debate might go on
I wonder what the final result will be
In paradise you will be resting
The dove of peace will be your pet
As I remember your face
What I see is the smile forever
Forever you will shine
Your name is written on the rock
You will always be remembered
I feel sorry for the parents and relatives
Beloved Terri is now gone
Her good spirit remains though
Let you live with that golden spirit
To the husband in limbo
Your heart knows the truth
Your heart knows the motive behind
Heavens also knows the truth,
I will let heaven remain the only judge
Goodbye Terri,Rest in peace and smile
We are all coming there sometimes.See you in heaven

Hey. Good peom. i do not think it was murder because i have been in the same place with my family having to take my family member off the feeding tub. a person can not be on a feeding tub for their whole life especially if they have as much brain damage as she did. my uncle was 95% brain dead and they put him on a feeding tub(life support) for 2 weeks and he even died while on the feeding tub. she could have died while on the feeding tub just as well. if yall were in the same place and had to decided weither to take her off the feeding tub to see if she can make it even though or leave her on it to give her food although she was worse and wasn't going to make it anyways. and they do not starve you without the feeding tub. they give you some med. though the IV that makes you not want to eat. anyways. so no i do not believe it was murder. but anyways good poem. 5/5. keep writting. -Ericka

Great poem jeff! This subject is indeed a very sad one. My heart aches for her parents. I pray every day that God will give them peace.
Take care and God bless you Jeff!
