Mothers

The ones who love us no matter what we do,
They are our heroes
The person to comfort us when the going gets tough
They’re there to be tough for us to help us get going

But mine, mines different
She is and always does fight for me
She always puts me first before herself
Even when I’m being a spoiled brat

She has shown me how to love
How to be a good person
And how to be strong
Even when she had every right to cry

She held it together
Just for me
I could see it in her eyes
She was only thinking about me

She never lets me down
Always making sure my head is up
Without her I don’t know where I’d be,
But I know I wouldn’t be nearly as happy

So this is a tribute to her
And everything she has and will do for me
Thank you for giving me the tools,
To be the best person I can be

So we celebrate this Sunday
Because this Sunday is your day to bask in the joys,
The joys of being a mom and for the kids
To show their appreciation of all their moms do
