Graduation

by Jennifer   Jun 14, 2005

We've had some tough times,
we've been together many years
Now we're about to separate -
that will cause some tears.

Don't start crying,
no, not just yet...
Let's remember the day
that we all first met.

We were so young and nervous -
shaking and trying not to cry...
We all wanted our mommies,
but she said we had to try.

Then we went to Middle School,
we're starting to grow up now...
Where do babies come from?
we finally found out how.

Remember when we were Freshmen?
just excited to be here,
All the upperclassmen,
now that instilled some fear.

Then we became Sophomores,
let's get behind the wheel -
Be careful when you drive,
we want all wounds to heal.

Next, we were all Juniors -
only one more year.
Let's don't mention college yet,
that's still a spot of fear.

Now that we're all Seniors,
getting ready to leave -
Us and our parents
are ready to grieve.

Don't cry, keep smiling,
we'll see each other again,
Don't be sad, think happy
it's now time to begin.
