Graduation Speech

by tabithaa   Aug 2, 2005

A girl named Alexis Jackson walked up to the stage,
And stood in front of the microphone,
She was standing by herself,
But she was not alone.

She was the valedictorian,
She had courage in her heart,
She looked at the graduates sitting patiently,
Waiting for her to start.

"We all cam here together,
Most of us were unprepared,
We were all a little worried,
We were all a little scared.

We finally got used to it,
We learned to get along,
Still, some of us got ridiculed,
But, it only made us strong.

Britney Summer's father,
Died last year, and so,
We all helped her get through it,
We all let her know.

That she always had a shoulder,
On which she could cry,
That she always had someone to confide in,
And she would never have to ask why.

We became a very close class,
There are moments we will never forget,
But, you have to take the good with the bad,
So, there are moments we all regret.

There were times when we felt alone,
And times when we were sad,
But, It took those moments,
To make us realize what we had.

We learned how to love,
We learned how to care,
And we learned that when we were in doubt,
Someone would always be there.

We all came here worried,
But, we're graduating with pride,
Congratulations, Happy Graduation,
Class of 2005!!!!!"
