Surrender in the Night

by dandy   Aug 14, 2005

Lay down your weary head,
permit your shaky soul rest.
Close those eyes that have seen much,
let your mind abandon its quest.

A breeze of surrender washes over,
dissolving in the night.
Your beautiful face is lit
by a ray of soft moonlight.

A butterfly touch inspires the senses;
Kisses of passion so sweet.
A midnight swim in the waters of peace,
secure a love so deep.

Never ending joy and blissful whispers,
break through silence in the dark.
The late hours draw to a close,
though on two they've left their mark.

The sun begins illuminating
the dark and lovely scene.
Morning's brightness spreads across;
the wonders so serene.

They depart with one another;
walking hand in hand.
The previous night imprinted forever,
on their minds and a love so grand.
