I'm 16 and forever i have always been told never to lie to children it haunts them when they're older. I know from personal experiences when being lied to makes you have so much anger when your older. Tell them Daddy is no longer here but will always be with them in their hearts looking over them, taking care of them. Dally told you to look after them while hes not there and help them be big and strong..keep their heads and self esteems high..when theyre older to understand at least you can say you didnt lie.

As a girl who lost he father at a young age, I can only say that there are no words that will ever take away the pain those children are feeling. So let them feel. The best you can do is sit with them and tell them that sometimes things happen that we don't want to happen and there are people in life we feel we can't live without and have to let go. Tell them their dad was too good for this world and is helping God in Heaven. But let them know they are not alone in thier grief and that it is ok to cry and feel sad. As long as remember the good times. I was 4. I have no memories. Don't ever let thier memories of thier father fade away.
