Awwwwwwwww. This is so sad :-(. You can feel the pain in this...great job hun. This means a lot to me, as I lost my grandmother almost two years ago now, and I often go to her house to visit my grandfather and it's just not the same without her there. And I was given the necklace she always wore...Anyway, this is brilliant, try to keep your head up, and I hope you and your mom will be okay. She's in a better place, remember that. E> xoxo love you muches, take care.

Wow...the emotion placed here is powerful, Coonay. For some strange reason this stanza stands out from the rest, in my opinion:

"It read delicately, "To A Dear Angel"
every stitch had a glitch and the letters were strangled
The words weren't centered, loose strings never fixed
the sweater itself didn't even fit."

Those lines were hella awesome! :) I especially liked the line saying "The letters were strangled". That gave me a weird sort of image in my head.

I once read a quote saying something to the effect of "Gratitude will always conquer loss." That's one of my favorite quotes because it's so true. Your mom will have her time for grief but soon enough she'll start to remember what a great grandmother she had, and she'll heal...slowly.

*I'm trying to read more of the Cooids' poems, so you're the first one today. Lucky you. :P

    Take care...
