Remember

by Zach Cambria   Sep 20, 2005

Our world is full of tragedy-
more often than not...
But we must fight for the peace in our lives, and give it all we got.
And remember our heroes, from long ago,
and the ones that serve and protect today....
from the tiniest children who live in sorrow
to the ones who help each and every day.
They all stand up and hold hands-
To fight for us-
To die for us.
To live for us in this world of despair...
Its almost like tragedy grows on trees-spread out among everywhere.
Why can there not be peace,
a world of calmness at least.
for in our un-innocent lives-
our innocent people feast.
And because of this they perish, and they they live among the least...from the loss
we take all of the good, and like a trash bag, we toss....
Why don't we just recognize the good which we bestow..
then at least our citizens would know,
that we live in a good nation
Where love and honor grow.
Do we not owe our heroes this love...the respect which they earn.
our love simply sits more uncommon than a red fern.
Let us put forth this love to all earths people, to all earths children.
And maybe then there will be peace, and maybe then........

Maybe people would begin to look at the good.
Maybe people will remember our heroes.
And what they give.
And maybe then, they'd remember the heroes NOT,
For how they died,
But for how they lived.
