Candle

by Samantha   Oct 6, 2005

The slightest flicker can light a room giving shadows music to dance to on the wall wax drips down the side almost as slow as your hand running through my hair the dim light softens your face it looks more delicate than I could ever have imagined you take my hand and hold me close time slips away far away from us our surroundings blur mixing together so well creating a stir of blacks, blues, and greys they form a swirl they begin to spiral hypnotizing me drawing me in I look into your eyes your deep brown eyes I can see far I am drawn there too I look away the flickering flame so delicate yet so dangerous creating spying shadows they stand behind me in the darkness of the night I blow the candle out all is dark your hand touches my cheek such a soft gesture for such a strong person I feel your love through your fingertips touching my heart as you always do you move your hand then there is light again you smile and nothing else matters.
