On the night of your first show

Blinded by spotlights,
heart thumping loud,
Skye yourself up for the unimpressed crowd,
running through lines you should of learned,
this is the chance, of which you have yearned,
you've bragged, and you've pleaded to showcase your talent,

enter the stage..
go on say it..

you begin to deliver with a few seconds delay,
this is the moment, of which you have prayed,
perspiring palms and unexpected itches,
weak delivery, as your nose twitches

its over now leave the stage,
you stagger off to find your mentor in raged,
you missed two lines what were you thinking?

enter the dressing room eyes full of tears,
scanning the room of your talented peers,
a feeling of chilling unworthiness,
