    This is great Peter! One of my uncles is a fire fighter and he talks about the horrors he has to live with. I appreciate your words, which as Sunny said "Speak volumes". May you rest easy my friend, you have a highly important job.. Respect!

    I am at a loss for words ...this piece has touched the inner most depths of my heart ....
    My brother is a fireman and many times people don't stop to thank them for the wonderful jobs they do ...

    This truly reaches deep and touches my heart. My youngest Son is a firefighter and I'm thankful he cares and wants to do this, but ohhh, how I worry about him.     "I hear a small groan, that's all I need" love that line! this poem really carries great emotions to it. how brave a firefighter really is! they do wonders risking their life for anothers. exspecially in september 11. i can really feel like i can relate to this poem as well reciently. there has been two fires that have left people homeless in my comunity. my school is helping to raise money, food, furnature and any thing they need for them. great poem, sorry i kind of branched out on my comment.
