How "In Flanders Fields" makes me feel

by Brittini   Jan 2, 2006

"In Flanders Fields" a poem I just read
The meaning, clear to see
I thought as I rested my head
Closing my eyes letting my thoughts flow free
As I did I could see my life
But if it wasn't mine
There was a bloody knife
In a friend of mine
And all I said to the soldiers around
Was I'll be fine
Then falling to the ground
Because the gunfire came
With bullet to my leg
That had mighty good aim
But our flag
It's still high
Even when we say goodbye
The poem it true
With those little poppies
And what they do

This poem it means
For all the future kids out there
Just make it seem
Like you all really care
When comes that day
For you to remember
Just be proud to say
"I will always remember!"
And don't ever forget
What happened for you
On the fields with such a dark and grim set
For we put up a fight with a passionate true
Knowing that our country will soon belong to you
