At first, I hadn't a clue what you were writing about. Took me a couple of reads to visualise the scene, but after that I was amazed.
The indirect description of birth [I'm assuming that's what it is, or it is to me anyway] is so powerful and extremely well worded. I don't think there's a flaw to be found at all.
