I absolutely adore this! It's such a fun and whimsical piece. I especially like the part about playing in the rain, I still enjoy doing that.

If I were an artist, I would paint portraits of these words. This is a really good poem, and the images are so calming. A really good write. Excellent job! Keep up the great work!

    Luanne
Truly beautiful, brought back many memories....love this stanza.....
    Twirl in delight within raindrops
    skip and jump with glee
    see reflections upon puddles
a happy child smiling back at me

"Gaze at twinkling magic in the sky
make a wish upon a falling star
    ask Grandma a silly question
is heaven really all that far "

wow! this is simply amazing! I got goosebumps reading it. this really hit home and brought back so many wonderful memories. I remember it just like it was yesterday. there are so many great stanzas but I chose that one up there because it touched me the most. I remember asking my grandmother questions like that and also going outside and wishing upon the twinkling stars.

beautiful poem! one of my favorites :)

OH MY GOD! have i ever told you your amazing? because you truly are. the way you wrote this was masterful. the creativeity and the way you arrange the words.
    'Twirl in delight within raindrops
    skip and jump with glee
    see reflections upon puddles
a happy child smiling back at me'

I would have never thought to arrange that last line half as good as you. i could feel the happiness within this poem, and believe me, i really, really don't say that often. A truly happy and 'feel good' piece. i could imagine everthing. every line i read sparked off images, and a smile to my face. i love your work very much.
