Fire fighter

Fire fire
they call
eating and taking away everything
with smoke, heat
yellow blue red colors

You move leaving nothing behind
everything you touch turn to ashes
our wealth and belongings you take with you

You speak a language
no one understand

Men combat to no avail
you took our precious ones
away from us they go
for no cause we pay

Daunting task we undertake
to stop you
climbing the ladder to heaven
with eyes fill with water
nose running unstopped
crawling, climbing the wall like gecko

To your call our men respond
many injured
plenty falling

We wail and moan for the lost

But today we praise
our standing and falling heroes

The fire fighter
