For My Mother

by Marlyn Cabrera   Mar 7, 2006

Thank you doesn't begin to express
The gratitude I feel
Just to know that you're my mother
Sometimes I think it isn't real

You always held my hand
At times when I would fall
Never for a second did you leave my side
You helped me through it all

Some little girls dream of being princesses
But somehow I always knew
That when I grew up someday
I wanted to be just like you

And now that I'm older I appreciate the things
At times I simply didn't see
Thank you for being my mother, my friend
Thank you for loving me
