Saying Goodbye

by Maegan   Apr 6, 2006

I have known each of you for only a short year, and having to say goodbye so soon brings to my eyes a tear. From the first day of school and onward to all, some seniors have triumphed in basketball games, and some were invited to Carnige Hall. All of you have done well in your classes, and now you will move on to your cap, gown, and sashes. Dressed in your best of gold and black, representing the time spent as an Itasca Wampus Cat.
All of the memories made within the classroom the past four years, will go down in history as you leave us full of tears. Remember the time you spent working on homework late at night, or training hard in athletics to win the game with a fight. Remember preparing for UIL, from number sense to one act play, because there will be one teacher who will remember you and your accomplishing ways. Remember your teachers, for they have been there to help you, in geography, biology, and even in algebra two.
Do not just remember all of the homework and tests, remember the times you had with your friends, those were the best. When athletics or fifth period let out and you were happy it was over, you left be revving up your engine to show how cool you were. Some of you went to work, some of you went home, some of you spent time at Jimmys Corner Store, and some of you wanted to be alone. All of the good times you had with friends will be in your heart forever, because only those memories will be the most unforgettable. So when you walk across that stage, and take that diploma, remember that the classes of 2007, 2008, and 2009 will miss you so much. For you are the seniors that we look up to and will never forget, you are the Itasca High School Class of 2006.
