I read something once about the lake of souls - and when you die, you swim around the lake for all eternity - this reminded me of that concept, but with more passion. Dance of death -

Ceiling boards of gnarled roots
Fungi of unhealthy sheens
Fairy-like lights twinkle
Pastel pinks and greens

that was a great descriptive stanza, I thought it really made an impact on the descriptions within the poem. Awesome work.

This is a very pretty poem. You are so good at spinning tales filled with beauty and grace! I especially like the imagery involved with this piece...The faeries twinkling about and the shadows dancing on the field cluttered with leaves. Wonderful, just wonderful!

This was very good. Outstanding imagery. The flow perfect.

Just my opinion, but the following lines just seemed to Fantasy for the rest of the poem
"Fairy-like lights twinkle
Pastel pinks and greens"

The dark showed in the rest of the poem so well that to brighten it up with fairy-like and pastel seemed like you were forcing a rhyme.
Other than that, couldn't find anything wrong with it. But this is just my opinion.

I love this poem. Your detail of the writing you wording and images that came through where perfect. Not to mention I'm a huge fan of dark poetry. :]
