Answer to my prayers

This is the face that hides the pain,

For if i showed my pain, would they care?

Would they turn their backs and walk away?

Would the help me ease the pain?

This is the chest that hides the heart,

The constant battering it takes

Why hasn't it given up on me

Like i've given up on you?

That is your hand that holds, the heart that is
