Teenage Tragedy

by Kristi White   Apr 16, 2006

Sometimes people don't realize
how much I really render.
I wish to gain him as my prize
with love as my only contender.
We're another teenage romance
soon to be up in flames.
Young yet bandaged hearts
with only ignorance to blame.
To many romantic movies
where we live life by a script.
I wish to hear the lines they say
but they're too cliche for me to believe it.
And I'll lose everything I own
which is nothing but composure.
I feel drenched in vulnerability
as the attempt leads to a closure.
Teenage romance:
he means the world to me
and together we are
the unwritten teenage tragedy.
