In Memory

by Morgan   Jun 2, 2006

September 11th one hellish day
that will forever be burned into my mind.
A day when two towers
resembling everything America stands for
fell into the devil's den below.
Ground Zero a tomb for thousands of faces
all of which used to have names
but they didn't that day
there were just too many.
September 11th
when the face of anger
screamed it's final battle cry
a battle cry so loud
it will never be heard
September 11th
A day when final words were never spoken
goodbye's were said in the most inappropriate ways
loved ones instead of receiving a kiss at the end of the day
they got a knock at the door and an obituary
Ground Zero for many a silent mournful grave.
Unless you can still hear the screams
and the cries," Please save me."
In memory of September 11th
A day that will forever be burned in my mind.
In memory of the hero's that didn't want to die.
In memory of the parents
who will never get to hear their child's first cry.
In memory
Ground Zero
The biggest cemetery man ever made.
