Very nicely done. Flowed well and the Midas imagery was especially fitting for our avaricious society.
I don't think you needed to add the comment at the end. I found the meaning clear - although I do like classical references.
Keep it up.

"If you lose you're one true calling,
You will see a kingdom falling,
Crumble in its broken dreams,
Drowning in a wretched streams"

^ Those lines definately struck a chord in me. I really liked this poem! I get where you're going with your king and horse thing, too. Very nicely written. Keep it up!
