The Sea that is Me

by Seth Eckel   Jul 12, 2006

Why are girls afraid to swim?
The deep waters that are my soul are not filled with carnivirous creatures
On the surface it may appear murky
But just below is a beauty waiting to be witnessed
The undertow isn't too strong unless you stir the water with unparalelled force and a lack of sympathy
The rivers that flow may bring with them much pain and sorrow
But if you dipped your head the rain of delight would poor down softly
And if you dip your heart then a storm of love would come pooring down
Do not worry you do not have to jump off the dock
Slowly but surely walk in from the beach with the soft feel of sand caressing your toes
It may seem a little cold at first but surely it will warm and soon the air above will seem to cold to get out
Don't worry though because you may live forever in the sea that is me
