Us

by Bethan   Jul 13, 2006

His green eyes sparkle with mischief and lust
i look up in those eyes, seeing his soul
give all of myself, in him i can trust.
we sense the feeling, us together, whole.
he could never be mine, this world\'s not just.
we\'re deep in our world, will time take its toll?
tumbl\'d together in a web of desire
lost far in passion, revel in the fire.

as the daylight dawns on our melded form,
quiet, gentle sigh and touch our soft lips.
blinking eyes slowly, breathing breath so warm.
no sleep has relaxed our stormy rocked ships.
silently praising each other, untorn.
feeling the texture, touch marking like whips.
holding each other so close and so tight,
knowing what we both feel, that it\'s so right.

day drifts slowly, we\'re suspended in time,
lying together, on couch or in bed.
no space to think, or remember our crime.
he looks at me with my thoughts in his head,
and i know we share feelings, love sublime.
for once my misgivings, they all have fled.
i feel secure, safe in my place, right here.
his being soothes me, i\'ve nothing to fear

scroll through the channels, much worth listening to?
laugh as i sing to \'american pie\',
but my heart leaps, when he murmurs \'fix you\'.
then doze together, my head in the sky,
and kiss his face, he\'s so sweet it\'s untrue.
we press together, feel scared of goodbye.
i wish for the day i could claim him mine.
i know til that moment, my sun will not shine.
