Oh this poem was so sweet, it brought a tear to my eye. I think you just described the dad everyone dreams of having. I wish I could say I have a relationship like that with my dad, but i don`t , and I never will. Great poem. Keep it up :)

I wonder how he got his halo
From his attitude? His looks? His laugh?
All I know is daddy and his golden halo
Is something no one else I know has

When I was around 8 years or nine
He tied a knot around my tooth and the door
He said, “Baby we don’t have to do this”
But I said I don’t want my baby teeth anymore

This soooo reminds me of my little guy right now. He will ask me to tie a piece of thread around his tooth and attach the other end to the door...It's so cute because I will leave him about 2 feet of thread and when the door closes he'll run up to the door.....and then squint his eyes closed real tight and then say " is it gone"?
It so cute because he runs with the door so it doesn't even have a chance to come out...lol
