Oh sweetie that is so sad.

I weighed myself this morning and I gained a pound
When I saw that number I fell straight to the ground
I couldn't breathe, I was in complete shock
I closed the door and turned the lock

These lines hit me real hard. Keep your chin up hon and follow the advice i the last lines

It might hurt and it might take some time
But I will stand tall, and up this hill I will climb

    *hugs*

Very sad poem. It's a pretty bad world these days, everyone's expected to look their best, and usually that still isn't good enough. I liked this one alot too. shows a great meaning behind it.. Keep it up! 5/5

This poem is sad not only because you have to go through that, but because it is so true to much of out nation. This poem really hits home! It doesn't really seem to flow or have a poetic rhythm, but it's the sheer content and truth that makes this piece stand out. Wonderful write!

Hey love!! This was great, and technically, it does rhyme! It was a really great poem, I LOVED it! The flow was perfect, and so was the rhyming. It was great.

In some ways this poem doesn't make sense but it does send a very important message not to believe in what magazines and tabloids say. The first stanza says so much, it tells us how we are 'supposed' to be and your feelings about it. I can relate to this I'm already skinny naturally but I get upset when I put on weight even though I need to. Keep writing. =]
