HIGH STEPPERS

by Joe Moore   Mar 7, 2004

TODAY IS GRADUATION
YES, I PASSED THE TEST
SALUTATORIAN
DOESN'T MEAN SECOND BEST

MY EFFORTS CLIMAXED
EQUAL TO THE TASK
NUMBER ONE STUNNER
IN THE AFTERMATH

NOW FUTURE GOALS
IN FRONT OF ME
TIME TO SEE
IF THEY'RE ABOUT TO BE

MOM AND POP SMILING
PROUD ASS GRINS
JUST TOLD ME YESTERDAY
MY LUCK WAS RUNNING THIN

BUT PARENTS PUSH
AS THEY SHOULD
HOPING THEIR EFFORTS
HAVE DONE SOME GOOD

MY CLASS WALKING
DOWN THE ISLE
NOW GROWN UP FRIENDS
THOUGH WE MET AS A CHILD

SO FUNNY HOW FAST
THE TIME SPEEDS BY
ALL THE CRAZY ASS STUNTS
WE JUST HAD TO TRY

BUT TRIALS HAVE SHOWN
LIFE GIVES YOU FITS
BUT EVEN WHEN IT'S HARD
I PROMISE NOT TO QUIT

THE THINGS I AM
GOOD AND BAD IS TRUE
BUT THE THINGS I AM
HAVE PULLED ME THROUGH

SO REGARDLESS HOW CRAZY
TOMORROW MAY PROVE
TONIGHT WE PARTY HARD
CAUSE WE GRADUATE HIGH SCHOOL
