No Longer A Boy..

He's no longer the boy I once bounced
On my knee,
He's no longer that ninja he pretended
To be,

His goals are much higher then they were the day before
For then he was looking for that big wave to score,

For today he set out to lay his own plan.
Today I just realized my boy is now a man,

I'm overcome with emotion, some I just can't
Explain.
Full of honor and pride, but yet I feel pain,

Today he left home to follow his dream,
To serve for his country, protect our pastures of green,

His will is determined his heart is so true,
He is now standing proud for our red white and blue.
