Your arms are so warm

by tandamya   Aug 30, 2006

Your arms are so warm,
i want to remain in them forever,
but when tomorrow comes,
all the warmth will drift away,
as will you,
drifting like a boat across water,
only you don't have a reason to drift away,
you just drift away because you can,
to escape the pain,
that i get left with every time you leave,
as you may not return,
you hold my hand and give me one last kiss,
this could be the last time i feel your warmth,
you start walking away,
you turn back for one last look,
then disappear into the crowd,
i wait... and think,
if i can last a second,
i can last a minute,
if i can last a minute,
i can last an hour,
if i can last an hour i can last a day a week,
a month and then a year,
just for you my warmth,
the feeling of my heart beating,
to return,
then suddenly,
there you are,
my heart my warmth,
walking back to me,
you start to run,
i start to cry,
you embrace me,
and i feel the warmth,
your arms are so warm,
i want to remain in them forever,
but when tomorrow comes,
all the warmth will drift away,
as will you.
